Paint N Pray
Christians making art for a cause
By day, I work as a sip and paint art teacher. Recently, I’ve felt inspired to repurpose my leftover canvases—giving them new life, but with a greater purpose. Together we can create a collection of meaningful artwork that praises God and shares love through creativity.
You’re invited to join me for a free event where I’ll be teaching some painting, and we can have fun being crafty making Christian art. Spots are limited, so please reach out if you’d like to attend.
While the event is free, donations are welcome. 100% of the proceeds will go towards supporting a young man in Africa named Yunusa. His story is truly moving, and I’ll include it below so you can read more about the impact your support could have.
Book Workshop.
This is a free event!
INFO
On the day, all materials will be provided—including paint, brushes, a canvas, and some fun crafty extras you can glue on and experiment with creatively. We’ll also have uplifting Christian music playing to set the atmosphere.
Feel free to bring along your own snacks and drinks to enjoy. We’ll be setting up at the park in Mooloolaba, surrounded by beach, nature, art, music, and good company.

All of the money raised will go directly to support a 22-year-old young man named Yunusa Jallow and his family in West Africa. Yunusa is a Christian who has taken on the responsibility of caring for his two younger sisters, baby brother, and elderly grandmother after tragically losing both of his parents in 2020—his father passed on May 10th, and his mother on November 23rd.
Yunusa lives in a predominantly Muslim region, where access to churches and Christian community support is very limited. He has no immediate family to assist him and faces daily challenges due to the high cost of food, a struggling economy, and government corruption.
Despite these hardships, Yunusa dreams of starting a small business to support his family and create job opportunities in his community. To make this a reality, he needs around 201,000 GMD (approx. $4,282.64 AUD) to purchase tools like wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes, watering cans, axes, hammers, and trowels.
In addition, we hope to raise 32,000 GMD (approx. $681.76 AUD) to cover basic necessities such as clothes, Bibles, toothbrushes, and other essential household items.
Yunusa is also in 7,000 GMD (approx. $150 AUD) of debt to people in his local area due to the ongoing financial strain.
Your support—whether through a donation or simply spreading the word—can make a real difference in the lives of Yunusa and his family. Every bit helps, and together we can offer hope, dignity, and a brighter future.
